Paksiw na Tilapia

It’s really nice to serve your family a nice and delicious lunch. One of the family’s favorite dishes is “Paksiw”. Illonggo call it “Pinamalhan” from the root word “mala” which means dry. Pinamalhan mean to stew in vinegar until it dries.

Paksiw na Tilapia

Ingredients:

1 kilo medium size tilapia (clean, scaled & halved)
2 small eggplants (quartered)
1 small ginger (crushed)
4 pieces red bell pepper
2 cups vinegar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon patis (fish sauce)

How to:

In a casserole, arrange vegetables at the bottom. Add in tilapia, red bell pepper and ginger. Pour in vinegar and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and pour in water. Season it with salt according to your taste.
